SW Portland ADU--Before
An artist friend has a 1980s daylight ranch surrounded by garden. She and her husband were interested in adding an accessory dwelling unit (ADU), but only if they could preserve both household privacy and the three large Douglas firs in the side yard. When we analyzed the possibilities, an addition over the garage was the best option.
